{Erica & Eric 6.4.11}

This past weekend, I had the absolute privilege of being a part of one of my best friends from college wedding in Plano, TX.  Erica came into my life at the beginning of my Senior year in college as one of my g-littles in the sorority we were a part of.  Our "phamily," as we call it, became extremely close during that year and really encouraged each other in our walks with the Lord.

It was such a fun weekend with Erica and all the girls in the wedding & house party.  We had a yummy dinner at Buca di Beppo.

Erica asked me to "assist" her during the wedding - kind of like a "lady in waiting" is how I termed it, hehe.  She is such a huge blessing in my life and I was so excited to be a part of her wedding.

Afterwards, a bunch of us OSU Alums hung out.  It was so good seeing old friends and making new ones!

Erica & Eric - I am SO happy for you both!  I pray that the Lord blesses this new chapter you are beginning together as husband and wife.  I love you both!

Summer Playlist {Songs #8a & #8b: Sia}

This next artist was yet another find via an online radio station, Slacker Radio to be exact.  This is the best way for me to discover new bands/artists since I don't have a ton of time to sit and search.  Anyways, I love this artist because she has a wide variety of style in her repertoire.  She is very eccentric and weird; but, talented nonetheless.  Breathe Me and My Love are both very emotional songs with so much depth it's hard not to be moved by them.  On the hand are the two songs that are fun and upbeat.  I couldn't pick between them {and they are both in my personal Summa playlist) so I leave the decision up to you :)

Summer Playlist {Song #7: Barton Hollow}

About six months ago, I decided to subscribe to Relevant Magazine which is a faith-based magazine covering all areas of pop culture.  I like the magazine mainly because it highlights up and coming artists across all genres.  The very first hardcopy issue I received had an article about a new duo called The Civil Wars.  I looked them up and really liked what I heard.  Ironically, one of their songs was free on iTunes for that same week so, of course, I downloaded it.  Since then, I've explored more of their music and I'm currently obsessed with their 2009 Poison & Wine EP title track.  But for the purpose of an up-beat summer playlist, I chose the song that I first heard and fell in love with....Barton Hollow.

{Broadway League Spring Road Conference NYC 2011}

I went to NYC last week for work.  Yes, work.  We went to meetings/sessions all day long then go to parties before and after we go to Broadway shows in the evening.  That's definitely a great perk to my job....but it's kind of like a "research"/professional development type of trip.  I won't be able to do this all the time but it was great privilege to get to go this year.

Part of my job includes all things social media and I've been dabbling in video production - but I use that term very loosely.  We took video and pictures {when we were allowed to!} of the different performances, celebrities, and speakers we had this week.  With all of that {and some photos I found online} I made a "montage" overviewing our week in NYC.  Check it out & enjoy!
