Parachute just released their music video for Kiss Me Slowly on Friday from their new album The Way It Was coming out May 17th! Such a cute song I thought it was worthy of making a blog post :) This song may be good for a Wedding Playlist and definitely Summer Playlist material ;) I definitely recommend a lot of their other songs like Under Control & She Is Love. Summer Playlist {Song #5: Through The Willows And Streams}
Howdy!
I listen to online radio stations at work (i.e. Pandora, Slacker, etc.) because I really can't stand to have just silence. Not to mention, I sometimes have mini-dance parties right there in my cubie - you know, just the shoulder shake and the occasional power fist pump if it's pretty rockin'. Don't judge. You know you do it too.
Long story short, I've gone from Pandora to Slacker to last.fm and so far, last.fm is my favorite of all the online radio stations. If you like discovering new music, you'll definitely like this station. The next few songs for my Summer Playlist I will have discovered on last.fm so props to them.
So the latest band that I've "Liked" is Eye Alaska. {And no, they are not from Alaska, they are actually from California.} They're an alternative band with some influences of 90's boy band sounds. I'm sure you're goin "What in the world...?" Just check out Roll Right Over and you'll hear what I'm talking about. A lot of their songs are "windows-rolled-down" worthy so I highly recommend checking out their other stuff like Walk Like A Gentleman.
I give you Through The Willows Streams from their Yellow & Elephant EP (once again not an "official" video, sorry!)
Enjoy!

Summer Playlist {Song #4}
To be honest, it's kind of hard to blog on a consistent basis. I feel like I need to have something really profound to say whether its talking about the songs I've picked for my Summer Playlist or just when I do an entry. So, I think I set high expectations for myself and feel like I can't reach them so I don't do it.
Anyways.
I've struggled with my next pick because I love A LOT of Future of Forestry's stuff and it was hard to just pick one song. On their website, you can go and listen to all four of their albums online in their entirety! I love it when bands do that especially if I don't know their stuff real well. FOF's style is definitely indie rock to a "t" (whatever that really means, lol) and so talented! Some of my fav songs are Slow Your Breath Down (one of the first songs that I heard), Close Your Eyes, If You Find Her (such a sweet song!) and Twilight (no, not because of the movie, hehe). I could go on but definitely check out their website where you can listen to all of these songs. After much deliberation, I chose You and I from the album Twilight. Hope you like it as much as I do!

Summer Playlist {Song #3}
Ok, so next up on my Summer Playlist is a song from the extremely talented Adele. I first fell in love with her voice and talent back with her first hit single Chasing Pavements from her album 19 {love the choreography and the use of shadows in the music videos}. Other great songs in that album were Hometown Glory and Right as Rain {which is a fun one I would definitely recommend to add to your summer playlist}. Adele has got some lungs and can sing a ballad like nobody's biz-ness. So, I give you Rolling in the Deep by Adele.
Enjoy!

{The Perfect End...}
What a weekend of awesome weather we've had: 70s on Friday, low 80s on Saturday and today got up to about 88! I got a touch of color so I'm getting a good start on my summer tan.
I try to use my Sundays and take it easy but it was so pretty today and honestly, you can't always get everything done on Saturday. I detailed the inside of my car {it was horrendous}, helped my mom clean out the garage and clear the back porch. My mom planted some beautiful yellow and purple pansies for the front porch.

But my real reason for posting is because of the beautiful sunset that ended this great day....and to show-off where I live. My two favorite times of the day to take a picture is at sunrise and sunset; and living in the country is perfect for that. Oh and it's great for star-gazing at night.
